Morgan Stanley pays tribute to Joachim Wehl
Morgan Stanley has paid tribute to Joachim Wehl, its executive director who has passed away at the age of 44.
The US bank said: “It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend and colleague Joachim Wehl, who passed away on August 14 2020 aged just 44 years old.
“After more than 15 years with us at Morgan Stanley, Joachim will be sorely missed not only as a valued employee but even more so as a friend to us all.”
Wehl was an equity finance and repo sales trader at Morgan Stanley’s Frankfurt office who joined the US bank in August 2005.
Morgan Stanley continued: “His curiosity, love of people and drive to please was treasured by everyone who had the good fortune and pleasure to know him. Our deepest sympathies go to his wife Daniela as well as both of their families at this difficult time. Rest in Peace Joe.”
Wehl was a European and US equity trader at German bank for five years and spent seven years in various roles at Commerzbank either side of military service with the German air force before joining Morgan Stanley.
