A group of futures industry professionals in London have launched the David Setters Trophy, a cricket tournament aimed at raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The inaugural event will be held on 13 June at the HAC in the City and will feature four teams from across the industry.

INTL FC Stone, the London Metal Exchange, the FIA and ION Group will take part in the Round-Robin tournament, which will start at 9:00 with the final being played at 16:30.

It will be followed by an invite only drinks reception.

The event was launched in the name of David Setters, the former FOW managing director and current partner at Contango Markets, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2011.

Setters subsequently founded the City Against Motor Neurone Disease Network to raise funds towards finding a cure and improving the lives of those living with the disease.

The David Setters Trophy was the brainchild of Nick Spencer Skeen and Keith Todd and the event has been put together by them assisted by Danny Turano, Erin Cox, Lucy Gingell, Emily Rash, Kate Davey, Emma Davey and Myriam Condon.

The team are looking for more sponsors to support the event.
